Ok white jeans-I think you either love them or you hate them....... I was definitely one that hated them. Every time I tried on a pair - and trust me I have tried on every style, every brand, cut, size, fit etc, but I couldn't get past something in my mind telling me they didn't look good on me. Do you feel this way about white jeans too? I have a dear friend, and she loves them, and every time I see her in them I think - she looks so cute and good.

Well, I think I have found the pair that turned me around: these super stretchy beauties from Frame Denim. Key word - STRETCH. I actually had to go down a size because they stretch so much=very forgiving and flattering! On top of the stretch, these adorable buttons that lead the eye towards the waist help to elongate everything, and honestly makes you feel fabulous in them.

So yes I took the plunge and I bought them, and actually wore them! (instead of just leaving them in my closet and having them "stare me down" every time I opened my closet). I don't follow the white before/after Labor Day rule. It is true that I won't wear white linen pants in winter (gasp!), as I think linen fabric itself is too light and breezy for winter, but I feel like jeans, a white light wool or a white/cream light tweed trouser is perfect in the colder months. My FrameDenim jeans hug the waist and also fit at the natural waist, so again the eye moves upward and really does a nice job of flattering.

The sweater is adorable and so cozy. I tied the ties a bit tighter to give the feel of a heavy scarf around my neck. The edges on the sleeves and bottom are a bit rough, which gives the sweater an edgier feel. Tucked in and then bloused out, it helped to balance out the streamlined look of the skinnies.

I coupled the shoes and bag in the same brown hues as the sweater to give it a relaxed, put together look. The texture of the bag is amazing, and made by a local gal here in town. We ladies need to support and raise up other ladies-its so important. Dont you think?

I found these Vince booties on sale and they are so comfortable, a bit retro and have a nice low heel so they can be worn all day long. The camel brown is a great tone-and I'm thrilled I bought them as well. I think they will also make a great travel shoe.

Enjoy the day ladies.

Its date night-and its still cold enough to wear leather pants and a cashmere duster. YES! Throwing together an all black outfit is so easy. I try not to wear black too much, as I feel like everyone wears black, a lot, and I love to add some interest to my wardrobe with color-but sometimes its super good and always feels sexy. It is a date night with my hubby.

Since leather pants feel a bit more masculine to me, I loved the idea of balancing them with this lace bodysuit-which looks see-through, but it actually has a skin colored liner which is wonderful. And who doesn't love a bodysuit? It keeps the top tucked in perfectly and allows the leather tie-belt to have its attention....

The cashmere duster offers warmth, and smooths over of the sexy lace bodysuit. And to be honest it is so cozy and it feels so amazing to wear and walk in-and shouldn't we feel amazing when we are getting dressed and cruising around? YES!

To add a sense of excitement to this entourage of black, I thought the leopard heels would be a nice touch, add some height and make the outfit a little bit more appealing, interesting and diverse.

Even though the outfit is mostly black, I feel like there is a lot going on, with the lace, the leather, the tie-belt, the shoes, etc. so I opted for a super simple, yet statement jewelry piece with the gold chunky bracelet and leopard clutch (which I adore!!!!).

Et Viola! A warm, cozy date-night outfit that offers a bit of sex appeal coupled with bad-ass leather pants. One other thing I really like about these leathers is that they aren't skin tight, like a legging. They have some move to them and pockets (always amazing) and are up to the waist so they are really flattering. They are an investment, but they are so hip, and great quality, so will last a very long time.

Lovelies!

This blog is written in hopes of inspiring other ladies to express themselves through the clothes we wear, to take an extra thought to wear something that looks nice and feels good, is different and is representative of your inner girl, lady, woman-whatever! Let’s bring dressing creatively, fun, and stylish back on trend!

Happy New Year 2020!

I dared and ventured outside of the house on January 2nd-a lot of people still were in town and kids were still on holiday break - the streets were flooded with people! The cafes were packed! Isn’t everyone hungover?

It has been cold and raining here for days straight. So of course I’m pulling out my coziest sweaters. I’m so happy about it. I found this Ralph Lauren cashmere sweater in my husband’s drawer -Yes! he was getting rid of it and I promptly took it off his hands. It’s Perfect. Is there anything cozier than an oversized thick cashmere sweater?

I’m loving the high-waisted jeans that flatter the body and lengthen the legs and are just so cute and hip! I feel like my legs grew 3 inches. The buttons remind me of my old 501’s that seemed so cool and different.

My shoes are these simple black booties, perfect for day as the heel is low and manageable, but they have enough height to extend the leg, working in conjunction with these amazing high wasted jeans.

Seriously ladies, one of my favorite daytime looks. So easy.
