I really love wearing red! I think it is vibrant and stunning and is so pleasing to the eye. Also, not many people wear red, so it is quite eye catching and unique as well. It's unexpected. These trousers are amazing, in any color. They are high waisted, with adorable button detail at the waist that draws your eye up and elongates the leg, with a flow-y, easy breezy leg, which leads to a wide leg at the bottom to complete the look. Too good!!

I topped the outfit of with my favorite vegan leather blazer. This blazer hangs a little longer in the front, and has a button at the side which cinches at the waist on the side and keeps the eye interested. The low, deep V of the lapels are also responsible for drawing the eye up and keep the flattery going.

Underneath it all is a simple body suit, which keeps the lines of the trousers smooth and keeps everything tucked in. If you were going out, you could take off the jacket, and have a super cute - possibly lace-y bodysuit underneath for a little more interest.....

My leopard print shoes were a fun addition, coupled with a gorgeous yet simple pearl necklace, which I feels draws your eye up even more. It's a classic outfit, yet with little pops of modern to keep it fresh.

I hope everyone is having a great day. Go find your favorite piece of clothing - old or new - and wear it with happiness - which hopefully puts a little bounce in your step.

bisous!

Hello ladies! I wanted to mention a great option to find unique pieces while saving the planet and money! High-end consigned, recycled, or repurposed clothes. This fantastic jacket was found at an upscale consignment shop-and it is absolutely amazing, unique and the price was fantastic. And I feel like in today's world of job uncertainty (meaning: watching our dollars and spending), and the constant focus on sustainability, it makes so much sense to find a nice, reputable, higher-end consignment store that you trust, frequent often and purchase from. Finding a higher-end, nicer store is important because I find the higher-end brands use higher quality materials, the workmanship is better, and therefore the clothes last longer and look great longer. And sometimes the tags are still on and the items are brand new, at a discounted rate.

And you can also sell your nice, in great condition clothes, bags, etc. and get cash or credit, which allows you to 'buy' things for (sort of) free! I was dropping some items off, when I walked by this super soft, super warm adorable jacket, and I had to have it! And with my existing credit, it didn't cost me a thing. Big bonus.

So, for running errands and such the other day, I paired the jacket with very comfy flare jeans, as I wanted to be casual and comfortable; coupled with with a strappy body suit underneath and ankle booties. This jacket is like a comfy blanket and I couldn't stop running my fingers through it during the day. It was really soothing! It's the simple pleasures these days that get us through.

Also, I wore my protector's eye necklace to keep me safe from all the yucky stuff out there, and an adorable friendship bracelet I received from my sweet friend, which is focused on spreading the message of empowering women and embracing our ambitions. How amazing I felt running errands - strong and purposeful. LOL!

Happy day to everyone! and PLEASE check in on your friends, some may need it more than you know.... and also check in with yourself to make sure you are ok. We really do need each other right now, I think more so than we realize.

Bisous, bisous!

More black and white for my two wonderful evenings during the holidays. Again fun, fun trousers with details. This pair has a self tie belt to make these bucket bag trousers billow-y and exciting. The pockets beckon your hands because the trousers and not tight through the hip at all. The top of the 'bag' is loose. I guess if you were take a very very big pair of pants and put a really tight belt around them, this is what you would get. They are fantastic! Think little girl wearing her mom's work trousers with a big belt.

For me, the shoes however, are the main attraction to this outfit! Super adorable, super easy to wear, super unique, a bit rocker and they really pull the outfit together. They were a labor of love to find, as I had first noticed them in a magazine ad, and searched and searched and searched until I found them. I was a bit obsessed - we can all comprehend that, right? For jewelry, I pulled from the patent leather white of the shoes and wore pearls - shiny and traditional, to help balance the more edgy feel of the buckles in the shoes, but complementing and similar.

The blouse is a cotton bodysuit that I have had for a while. The great thing about the bodysuit, especially with these types of trousers, is that you don't have to fuss about keeping the shirt tucked in tight, or worry that it is popping out of the top of the trouser.

So, this was a super easy outfit - straight up black and white with little details to make it interesting and cute. But the shoes... the shoes are absolutely fantastic and to me are the main attraction.

Happy Holidays everyone.

Look for your silver linings during these times, and you will have days (or nights) that are golden!
