Holiday season 2020 - I think everyone has been doing their best, trying to find the silver linings in this hot mess of a year. I had two golden evenings that definitely made me smile and recognize the simpler most important things in life; spending quality time with the ones we love.

A small intimate dinner spent with my very small immediate family gave me the opportunity to wear these amazing faux leather wide leg trousers and this sparkly sweater that I had been waiting to find the right occasion for. The sweater actually is a bit longer, but I tucked it in, and used the cute tie belt as the belt through my trouser loops. This allowed a seamless look, not breaking up the dark colors and tones and really tying it together.. :). The sweater is great, and would also be adorable with jeans and booties for just cruising around on a Sunday afternoon, with nothing to do... as seems to be the case these days!

The trousers are big and willow-y and the faux leather is fun and hip. I definitely didn't feel like putting on anything tight or stretchy or anything of the sort. It's holiday dinner time! Time to eat. Big pockets on the trousers are a big plus, adding to the super cool factor. I added my traditional holiday red bag and traditional pumps I've had forever, specific for these occasions.

The earrings are worth a mention as they are gorgeous and the best holiday add-on - chandeliers with the right amount of sparkle and movement. They were a perfect match with my sweater and glammed everything up to the next level!

Happy Holidays ladies! kisses.

The night before Christmas Eve was an essential evening for a quiet dinner with my husband at one of our favorite restaurants. Yipee a reason to get dressed up! Viola-this adorable, easy, stylish, pleated dress that is flow-y and girlie yet sleek and elegant, thanks to the pleats and fabric. It's silky and hangs just right, with little pleats also on the shoulders which give it a puffy blouse feel, the waist is not tight, but cinched in enough for a bit of definition. I was going to throw on a sparkly belt for added definition, but rather decided to go head to toe black without any eye interruptions in between. The belt would also be adorable.

Opaque tights for warmth on this windy cold evening, and these cute cute ankle tie shoes (which look like booties with the tights on) kept me warm and completed the straight up black look. From car to restaurant I opted to stay extra warm with an easy throw on cape. I bought this one in a larger size so it really has a nice swing feel to it, the pockets are easy to reach, and it sits on my shoulders just right so I don't feel the need to button it. I love it. The gray breaks up the black and the wool is heavier and a nice contrast to the silky fabric of the dress.

The black and gray needed a pop of color so I grabbed this satin red clutch which has some sparkle on the clasp and the knots on the bag give it a bit of dimension and texture. It's the perfect holiday clutch in size, fabric and color. My jewelry was also simple - two special bracelets I have, which accented the sleeves and helped draw the eye down from my mini-puffy sleeves.

It feels nice to put on a dress I have to say!

I truly hope everyone is finding something to make them smile a little this holiday season, and that the memories of good times in the past and the promise of good times to come will follow you through into 2021.

Joyeux noël and bonne année mes filles!!

Shopping for gifts! What fun to have something exciting to do right now-buying gifts for others and bringing a smile to someone's face. What made it even more exciting was to wear my YSL belt bag so I could be hands free and not worry about my bag getting in the way, or it being a hassle, when looking for gifts or carrying packages. This little bag is amazing. Worn around the waist, or even over the shoulder as a cross-body, the bag is big enough for my phone, credit cards, glasses and lip gloss (essential!) but the perfect size for running around and not having to lug a big bag around with me.

I coupled this easy-breezy look with an off the shoulder vegan leather top, and easy-breezy wide leg stripped jeans. Super comfy as if I were wearing sweats, yet much more interesting and stylish. The shoes are amazing Stella McCartney platforms, which I needed to wear as the jeans are long on me. Yippee-no problem as the shoes elongate my legs and make them look a bit longer. Bonus!

I hope everyone is finding kindness and a smile during this extremely difficult and bizarre time. Peace and love and hope for a better tomorrow.
