The belt - it adds that little bit of pizzaz on the older dress that you've worn a few times before. Like this adorable flouncy dress. It is super comfy, feminine, chic, I can layer a jacket on if I need, add boots for an appropriate fall outfit, or add a belt to make it feel fresh again. Or do all three!! And that is just it. Wearing something we love, adding a little something different each time, to give that favorite dress a new look and feel.

Normally I'd wear black or flesh toned heels, but opted for a barely there pair of booties that also freshen and change the look for fall. All of these items I've had, nothing is new, yet none of these items have been paired together before this outfit. This dress has the greatest subtle details; with a shorter hem in the front, cute loops and extra layers on the cuffs and neckline, gathered mini-pleats on the shoulders, and big billowy sleeves, all to make the dress and look comfortable, easy and stylish.

Of course you could add a blazer, a leather jacket or a light wrap for the cooler fall evenings. Of course higher boots would be amazing with this dress too!! I didn't add any additional jewelry (except for my beloved heart ring), as I felt the pattered dress and belt with chain were enough detail.

So ladies, enjoy those older things in your closet!! Make them new and fresh again by adding something fun - a belt, a scarf, fun shoes that pop - whatever you like that makes you feel as if you are wearing something new and fresh.

This long dress is so feminine and beautiful, yet somehow hip and chic at the same time. I just love it. The little ruffles are so sweet, yet it doesn't feel too 'ruffle-y' or too girly. The neckline is pretty low cut, which balances out the sweetness of this dress, and the bottom hem is longer in the front and back, and a bit shorter on each side. Super cool. It just hangs right, you know what I mean? It's almost floppy, in a good way. I added ankle booties to give that fall feel (yippee!) and threw on a leather jacket in case I needed it for our al fresco dinner. It's fun to dress a little feminine and this dress definitely made me feel as if I wanted to do some twirls.....

It's fall! Somewhere---maybe on the east coast? Here in the west the daily temperatures are still in the high 70's and sometimes 80's, so the thought of wearing boots or sweaters or leather seems completely OUT of the question. Well, we do have the evenings, where at the least the sun has set, and the temperatures drop down, allowing the inner desire to 'grab something a little cozier to wear' to finally have its time.

Et viola! I decide to wear this amazing 'vegan leather' blazer recently purchased at a local shop (trying to continue to support the locals in this economy). The part that makes it so adorable is the side button and the gathering in the front = flattering and different and amazing and adorable and so fun! Its longer length paired perfectly with black skinnies and had a simple chicness to it. The vegan leather is super-duper soft and cozy, and I only needed a spaghetti strapped body suit underneath.

To add some pizazz to the all black look, I grabbed my favorite lizard clutch with gold hardware and threw on a bunch of my favorite gold rings-which all have individual and special meanings to me and I just love wearing them. Simple low-heel slides in a bone color keep the look sleek and help the eye focus on the jacket and its amazingness... and the shoes are very easy to walk in! Bonus.
