Ladies! Do you have a few favorite local shops in the town where you live, that you frequent to purchase clothes, shoes, bags, housewares, etc? This entire outfit was purchased from shops in my neighborhood, and I think it's super important to emphasize how vital it is (especially now) to support local, small business in your area. You might be surprised to find some AMAZING pieces at great prices, meet some new friends and help your community.

These trousers are the most incredible flowy silk, (which is difficult to see in the photos). I feel as if I'm gliding through silky water when I wear them, like wearing silky pajamas and walking down a long cascading flight of stairs. They are truly wonderful and bought at a fantastic local shop! They are even made locally, double bonus. Even though they are extremely elegant, I downplayed the luxe and paired them with a sweater for a nice dinner out. The sweater is soft, oversized, with a bit of ribbing. Longer in the back and a small slit on the side gives it a bit of interest. I would have wrapped a belt around my waist, and have been dreaming of a vintage Chanel chain link belt, (which I don't own YET), but that would have been soooo cute! Anyways, the color of the trouser and the sweater are in the same gray hue, which I love, and enables the outfit to have a classy look to it, without even trying.

The necklace is the greek 'eye' and the beads are a very pretty blue and gold, which complements the similar tones and brings a little pop to so much gray. The necklace is subtle and delicate and was also purchased at a local store. My shoes are simple black kitten heels-great quality and very versatile.

What I really like about this outfit is the comfortableness and ease coupled with the elegance in the silk trouser and the easy flow of the oversized sweater. I carried a simple black clutch, and wore one of my fave gold rings. See below for links to clothes!

Have beautiful day and go find some local shops that you really like and can support. xoxoox

This is absolutely my favorite one-piece for many reasons. The color is so bright and beautiful and is the 'perfect summer day sky blue' that brightens everything up when I wear it! The fabric is heavier, and the lace/appliqué (what would you call this?) is so stunning and interesting and well done that it takes this piece to the next level of gorgeous and looks appropriate for a summer to fall transition piece. The cut is slightly fitted, but perfectly done with interesting details that make it so great: pockets (yipeeee!), a sash-tie belt, puffy sleeves, buttoned cuffs, and a gold zipper in the back. It is truly a great outfit, and so easy.

I've worn it for dinner with heels and jewelry to make it a wow wow stand out outfit, as well as with these adorable booties recently for my girlfriend's birthday lunch. Either way, you can't go wrong with investing in pieces that are interesting, unique, well made, good fabric, comfortable, pretty, fun to wear, and make you feel GREAT when you have them on, and that is what's most important.

The booties are a super soft flexible suede in nude which makes the leg elongate, doesn't take away from the intricate pattern of the outfit, and also adds the feeling that I'm dressing for fall. You could pair it with high heels, kitten heels or a fancy heavier sandal-even high boots would be adorable in a neutral hue! Hmmm, next time I am going to give this a go.....

So in the quest for trying to not dress summer-y, but of course different, cute and season appropriate at the same time, I think the shorts 'onesie' is the way to go. You could really dress them up for evening; throw a longer blazer on top, slip on some knee high boots, or comfy heels and the look is fresh! The shorts onesie does a nice job for either day or night and depending on what you pair with it and layer with it, it can be completely appropriate for your climate and style.

Cheers and lots of love to everyone. xo

Shorts Jumper - Maje (ok I bought this last summer in Paris at an insane sale, so most likely hard to find now, but other jumpsuits are out there!)

Yep its autumn, but it is still toasty warm here and the thought of wearing anything close to wool or heavy or fall-like seems like a horrific idea! So I decided to give this very bright, yellow cotton dress another wear before it looks completely out of place. The dress is adorable, but the color is not really for everyone. Either you feel bold to throw some color into your wardrobe, or its just not quite your thing. But thats ok! Consider adding a pop of color with a great bag or colorful shoes to add that pop- and it will feel really nice to wear something with some pizazz!

The cotton poplin is cool but has a heavier cotton feel, and of course the sash and off the shoulder looks a bit more sassy and interesting. I coupled the look with the heavier sandal type platform sandal-which are fantastic, fun, elevating and cool. Running errands and taking my son to driving school felt a little more exciting. We're trying right? Anything to help boost the mood, even if for a few hours of errand running. In this heat it's nice to wear something that almost feels like nothing at all.

Love to you all ladies. Have a wonderful day. Kisses!
