Saturday! Time to get up off the couch and run some errands and such. When I'm out and about running around, sometimes I like to wear long sleeves that are super light, to protect me from the intense sun beating down on me. White, super light cotton is the answer. I also found these adorable shorts (ON Sale) that help to give my otherwise 'not very exciting' ensemble a bit more excitement. I really like the belt which helps to accentuate my waist, coupled with the super flow-y shirt it is perfect to help give a more curvy shape. Cute little snap buttons also add some interest and detail. The fabric of the short is a weave-like pattern, and is a bit thicker, which adds to the richness and overall quality and feel of them. They are really great shorts!

I was cruising around on my Vespa, so I threw on my oversized, roomy backpack made of light cotton-which ensures I don't have a sweat mark on my back -which does happen if I am carrying a heavier, leather bag. I threw on some tennis shoes, hair in a low bun, and silver accessories to make this outfit a cute walk in the park, or running around outfit.

For an evening look, you could change your shirt for a cami-type top, or a silky shirt that has the same flow, but offers a bit more seduction for the evening. Pair it with some gorgeous stilettos and a simple clutch in a bold color and your day shorts just turned into a nice evening outfit.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend, whatever you are doing. Stay positive and be kind to each other.

This dress is wonderful for a summer date night - it's made of thick T-shirt material (=cool), it is stylishly interesting (+not typical of what everyone else is wearing), it is a bit shorter (+sexier for the hubby) and it is no nonsense (=throw on and go)! Oh and it was on sale (=double bonus)! Maybe the only thing missing to make this dress 100% perfect is some cute little pockets, but honestly, that would take away from the fit the more I think about that. It's sleek and fitted, yes, but it's the cut, which is done so well, that makes the dress look body hugging without actually hugging tight, or being annoying, or feeling constricting. I didn't tug, pull or fuss once when I had this dress on. Note that there is a big hidden zipper on the side to make putting this on (and taking it off) very easy and non-frustrating.

The big knot on the side takes your eye there, immediately to the waist, helping to keep the eye moving upward and to the side, which is visually stimulating and keeps it interesting.

I threw on a comfy pair of 'barely there' fuchsia sandals, simple gold jewelry and put my hair up in a clip. Not having a lot of fuss with other stuff; hair, makeup, colors, etc. allowed the 'knot' to be the main focus, while keeping the outfit looking summery and casual but with a bit more refinement for an evening out.

Absolutely this could be a day to evening dress so easily. During the day a simple pair of sneakers or slip-ons would do the trick if you needed to cruise around town. Couple the look with a straw hat and a light straw bag and you are rocking the grocery store! For the evening, depending on your climate, don't forget to grab a light pretty wrap or even a jean jacket to throw over your shoulders.

Happy day ladies! Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay adorable, kind and positive.

Shopping, errands, going to the dentist-fun, fun, fun. Add in the heat, add humidity, the sun beating down on you, and in and out of the car-they can be quite unpleasant things to do.

So, to make yourself feel better-pull out that cute top reserved for Sunday brunch or that 'something a bit more special' kind of day. Throw on a light pair of linen shorts for the comfy factor and your favorite old school kicks to get you moving with a kick in your step!

This 100% cotton, wrap-tie poplin blouse with puffy sleeves adds that little punch to an otherwise average pair of shorts. You can't go wrong with cool cotton on a hot day! Lots of white adds lightness to everything and easy pull on sneakers (Vans, my favorite old school choice) adds that 'I just threw this on' uncomplicated yet cute look. I even received a compliment on my 'outfit' while at the dentist, which made me smile because there was not much thought put into this.

This top is a bit shorter, hitting at the hip, so I made sure my shorts met the shirt so I wasn't showing any skin. But, I think the shorter style adds to the summer, easy feeling feel!

I carried my big slouchy bag that I throw everything in: purchases from CVS (no plastic bag needed thank you!), iPad in case I stopped for a coffee, sunglasses, wallet, mask, etc.

If you can find that light top that has an easy, pretty feel to it, throw it on for your daily errands. Running errands is our social event these days, so why have your pieces hang in your closet staring at you? Bring them to life with your everyday to do list!

Stay cool out there ladies, stay positive, and do the small daily things that will bring a smile to your day. bisous! xoxoox
